Fleshing out characters, concepts, etc for my campaign setting/comic story. 1689 isn't the year, but the universal version of Earth.
This is the sister blog site to Earth - 1689 that focuses on the Transformers (Sparkborn) that coexist in the same universe. Presented here are original and amalgamated ideas from the official franchises' history into a well crafted storyline.

Age of Thralldom - The Occupation
While the Sparkborn waged
their war, a new player entered the game; they called themselves Quintessons.
Upon returning to a millennia old abandoned outpost of theirs, they came upon
the warring Sparkborn. It was decided to study them so as to master the secrets
of this transforming race. By the time Zealotron’s progeny, Galvatron, was
delegated the Destron’s new leader, the Quintessons solved their enigmas and
sent forth their creations, the Omega Sentinels and Predocons, to enslave the
populace of Cybertron. Within moments the sparkborn were seized, put into
servitude by these new overlords, and cut off from everything they had built.
Guardian Prime led a failed resistance in their first mission and was captured.
The scientists desired to analyze Guardian for his unique properties of being
one of the Thirteen. The experiments on his physiology scarred his structure
permanently. He was unable to neither hold nor even connect to the discarded Matrix
of Leadership. But a lone mech in the deep recesses of the Quintesson dungeons found
it; it chose this Novum to rise and become Nova Prime. He with his cunning and with
Galvatron’s might commanded a new resistance. A force built strong from
oppression, one that mounted an assault against their subjugators. Nova united
his people against this common threat, drove the Quintessons back to their home
planet, and ushered in a new age, the golden age of Cybertron.

Upgrade 12.2711.001
This is the first upgrade of the site. Now an upgrade is really more of an update but since this is the sparkborn blog site the term seems more appropriate. Now every post before this one has had a minor updated. I would recommend re-reading all posts before this. As I progress with this blog, some posts might be revisited and transformed somewhat. These upgrades will let you all know which have been worked on. So stayed tuned for more.

Age of Discovery
The war had taken its toll;
the planet could not sustain all the survivors. Guardian Prime’s first orders
were to abandon their home of Gobotron so as to save their race. So they left
the only place they knew as home in search for a new sustaining world. The
slumbering Primus called out to his children through the Matrix. As they ventured
through the darkness, the evacuees compounded their knowledge and understanding
of the universe. Upon finally reaching their destination, the masses settled
and called their new haven Cybertron, after the last great city strongholds
from the war. Within no time Guardian’s flock expanded throughout the planet
and every field of knowledge boomed exponentially. This progress ushered in
space bridge technology which allowed colonization of many other planetoids,
which further their knowledge even more so.
Age of Treachery - Dynasty of Primes
Around the early days of
interstellar travel, Megatronus Prime found the weakened Unicron. Realizing
that they shared the same goal, Megatronus allied himself with Unicron and was
bestowed with more supreme powers. Upon returning, he beseeched Nemesis Prime
to create a new powerful line of Primes to lead their people. Nemesis
acquiesced to this request but after finding out Megatronus’ true intent he hid
the powerful line. Spurned by Nemesis’ actions, the brother created another
line, the House of Tronus, using only his blood and the blood of Unicron as a
base. This house was kept in the shadows while Megatronus united others to become
the Heralds of Unicron; these heralds waged war against Alpha Prime and the
Children of Primus. The civil war took a hefty toll on Gobotron; many were
lost, resources dwindled, but finally the Primus’ children won at a heavy,
heavy cost. Alpha Prime sacrificed his spark and energy to seal the Heralds away
for their treasonous actions. He passed the Matrix of Leadership unto Guardian
Prime and left the duty of watching over the sarcophagi containing the traitors
to the Guardians.

Age of Awakening - Dynasty of Primes
As Primus & Unicron
slumbered from their long battles, the Gods of Light rewarded the Children of
Primus with the Allspark, Areforma, and Unicognus to help them flourish. Alpha
Prime led the Dynasty of Primes and the Knights of Cybertron to govern their
race. During this renaissance on Gobotron, they quickly learned how to mold and
shape their home and environment and themselves. The dynasty flaunted the
sparkborn’s greatness in their megalithic achievements, much like the ancients
of Earth. Great legends and mysteries arose during this time in Sparkborn history.
The Beginning
In the beginning, The One
created the omnipotent being known as Unicron. This creation was conflicted and
flawed. So The One split Unicron in twain to create a second, Primus. These
gods were unleashed onto the primal universe to do as they saw fit and what
they decided to do was fight each other endlessly. Their battles stalemated for
years, until Primus created the Thirteen. The Thirteen were the start of the
sparkborn life forms, whose purpose was to fight alongside Primus against
Unicron. This dark god expelled his brother from his children on Gobotron, but
failed to vanquish the Thirteen. Their might drove the planet-eater and granted
them their first taste of peace.
